Christian Krogh Nielsen
I'm Christian, a Software Engineer at Copenhagen Optimization, where I build software that helps airports optimise their plans and operations. I enjoy working at the intersection of software, people, and complex systems, and airports have turned out to be a particularly fascinating place for all three. That interest also found its way into my master's thesis, where I used machine learning to develop models for passenger forecasting in airports. I've worked full-stack for the past few years and am currently getting into DevOps, Platform Engineering, and AI Engineering.
I hold a Bachelor's degree and Master's degree in Business Administration and Information Systems from Copenhagen Business School. My studies centred around the intersection of technology, business, and organisations — from how digital systems are designed and built to how they shape strategy, processes, and the way people work. I'm particularly interested in software architecture, AI and machine learning, platform businesses, product development, and understanding not just how technology is built, but why it is designed the way it is and the wider systems it becomes part of.
I'm Danish-Thai, born to a Thai mom and Danish dad, and grew up in the countryside of Vestsjælland before moving to Copenhagen, where I live today. I've always had a creative side, from video editing, graphic design, and music production to building software. Outside of work, you'll usually find me nerding out about music, cooking, third-wave coffee, design, or whatever new interest I've recently picked up. I also enjoy travelling, festivals, art museums, esports, watching Manchester United and F1, and occasionally playing video games when I'm tired of working on my software hobby projects.
